Throwback Thursday

The girls have had some weird Halloween Costumes over the years, but I think this one from 2013 takes the cake....There are no words...

Dude, Where's My Car?

After a quick stop the other day, Kayla and I walked out to the parking lot and I opened the car door to get in. I noticed there was a random pair of shoes sitting on the floor. I slid into the driver's seat trying to figure out where they had come from when I heard Kayla whisper yelling "MOM! MOM! MOM!" I quickly realized that I WAS IN THE WRONG CAR! How embarrassing! I jumped out quickly hoping the owner wouldn't see me and think I was trying to steal something. To make matters worse, it didn't even look like my car. It was a white Honda and I drive a red Kia. It's finally happening....I am losing my mind!

Bet Gone Bad

Anna was"dying" for a pazookie the other night. You know those cookies that you put in a cast iron skillet, half bake and then cover with ice cream and whipped topping?
Because I had already planned on cooking dinner that night I said no to the Pazookie.

Anna asked if we could make a deal. If dinner was bad, then we'd go get a pazookie. Now if you know us at all, that was a pretty safe bet for Anna. I've been known to ruin dinner a time or two. Ok...so maybe it's more than just a time or two. Kayla gleefully likes to remind me about our "3 dinner night". After 3 failed attempts, I finally gave up and took the girls to In-N-Out.

Well too bad, so sad Anna! Dinner was amazing! Alright, it wasn't amazing, but it was about a good as Rice-A-Roni and chicken tenders get. AND...more importantly...everyone passed the successful dinner test we put into place a few years ago....If no one pukes, poops, or dies within 24 hours after eating my cooking, it's a successful meal.
I thought about sabotaging myself because I do enjoy a good pazookie, but gosh darn it...I had something to prove! Anna tweeted,"what are the odds that this is the one night mom makes an edible dinner!"
