Stuck On the Roof
My 4th grade class just finished our Junior Achievement program. JA is a program where community leaders are invited into your classroom to teach a 6 week curriculum about money, business, community, etc,. Our JA leader this year was John Vance, owner of Peoria Nissan. It's my experience that car dealers will do just about anything to sell cars. John is no exception. Today he went up on the roof of his car dealership and will not come down until they sell 150 cars. He actually has a pretty sweet setup complete with tents, porta potty, and even a swimming pool. They arranged for different local restaurants to bring him 3 meals a day and he has complete internet access. The dealership has set up a live 24 hour feed so people can tune in anytime to see how it's going. My class has the live feed up on our classroom computers so we can watch throughout the day. It is actually pretty cool. So far the weather is great, but that is supposed to change later in the week. Hope he brought a lot of sunscreen. Check it out at http://stuckontheroof.com I am trying to think how Ryan and I can do something similar to raise money for youth camp
