That's News to Me

Three years ago I won a national contest through Honeywell and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. I had to write an essay on how I would use the Got2BSafe Program in my classroom. The prize was a $10,000 classroom makeover and a trip for the whole family to Washington DC. It was really exciting! Out of the blue last week I got a call from the PR lady in charge of the contest asking if I would consider doing an interview for Channel 12 News about the program. They came yesterday. My class was pumped! Right after I won I had to do several interviews and a few of the kids in my class have brothers or sisters who were in my room that year. They were excited that they got to be on tv too. The clip will air on Tuesday, March 16 between 5 and 7 am! It will be on the school solutions segment on channel 12.
