The Shusher

Kayla sometimes gets overly impatient with people. Especially people who are not doing what they are supposed to be doing. Last week she came home from school all upset. Apparently, in one of her classes, the teacher put them into groups for a project. Kayla was complaining that one of the girl kept talking the whole time and they couldn't get anything done. Here's the conversation that followed.

Me: "Why didn't you just tell the girl to shush?"
Kayla: "I couldn't do that. I'm not the shusher."
Me: "You're not the what?"
Kayla: "The shusher! You know like in elementary school when the teacher puts you into groups and gives everyone a job? Well I
was the recorder, not the shusher."
Me: "One of the jobs is shusher?
Kayla: "Yep!"
Me: "So who was the shusher?"
Kayla: "The girl who was talking!"
Me: "Well then as the recorder I would have written down on my paper that the shusher wouldn't shush and therefore your group
couldn't get anything done."

I ask Kayla everyday how the shusher is....and apparently...she's still talking!
